PORTLAND, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men's and women's cross country teams competed at the SUNYAC Championships hosted by Fredonia State this afternoon. Both the men and women's teams placed 10th.
Freshman Hannah Groshner led the Bears for the championship, crossing the finish line in a time of 27:15.91. Freshman Olivia Rehm was the next runner to follow with a time of 28:25.84. Freshman Sarah Howe crossed the line at the 31:45.34 mark. Sophomore Rebbeca Dukett recorded a time of 34:02.45 and junior Sara Behuniak finished in 34:27.67. Sophomore Stephanie Hall rounded out the Potsdam finishers with a time of 38:53.81.
Sophomore Joseph Rafter paced the men's team for the championship with a time of 31:20.26. Junior Dalijah Demand followed, crossing the line in 32:08.56. Sophomore Jonathan Doane and sophomore Adam Lang posted times of 34:28.58 and 35:08.23. Freshman Zach Fanion and sophomore Brett Wunsch concluded the Potsdam top six with 35:48.05 and 36:39.20, respectively.
The cross country teams return to the course Saturday, Nov. 3 as they travel across town for the Clarkson Dual Meet.
