OGDENSBURG — State police have arrested four men on criminal possession of a controlled substance charges.
Police say Edward M. Lovely, 47, of Ogdensburg, Robert J. Bush, 46 of Gouverneur, Darren J. House, 44 of Gouverneur, and Robert J. Bell, 51 of Gouverneur for criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th.
Troopers patrolling State Highway 812 in the town of Oswegatchie when they conducted a registration inquiry which revealed the vehicle did not have the correct registration. After initiating a traffic stop, police say the driver was identified as Lovely.
Trooopers say they also identified the other passengers in the car as Bush, House and Bell.
A license search on all occupants revealed none had a valid New York driver’s license and no one could legally operate the vehicle.
Police say they then searched the vehicle, yielding drug paraphernalia including methamphetamine, heroin/fentanyl, amphetamine and dextroamphetamine pills, and a glass smoking device with narcotic residue.
Lovely was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, aggravated unlicensed operator 2nd, and issued vehicle and traffic tickets. He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Oswegatchie Court for a later date in April.
Bush was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th and container substance in non-original container. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Oswegatchie Court for a later date in April.
House and Bell were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th. They were released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Oswegatchie Court for a later date in April.
