CANTON — A Rensselaer Falls resident was charged with criminal mischief following an alleged domestic dispute, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies,

Carl E. Slater Jr., 36, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment, officers said.

He allegedly was involved in a physical altercation with the victim and prevented her from calling emergency services, police said.

Slater was cited and released.
