POTSDAM -- A Potsdam woman was charged with multiple counts including driving while intoxicated and reckless driving after an accident Friday night on Leroy Street.
Noella M. Clarke, 39, Potsdam, was released to the supervision of probation authorities after Potsdam police charged her with speed not reasonable and prudent, driving off pavement to pass another vehicle on the right, driving a motor vehicle across a sidewalk, operating a motor vehicle without inspection, unlicensed operation, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, refusal to take a breath test, first-offense driving while intoxicated, and false personation.
Potsdam police said her vehicle struck a parked car on Leroy Street at about 11:45 p.m. and drove onto a lawn and around another parked vehicle. Clarke refused to provide a breath sample and provided a false date of birth, according to police.
Clarke was arraigned by Judge Pignone in village court.
