POTSDAM -- Motorcyclist Bryan H. Kirk, 41, Parishville, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, refusal of a breath screening test, resisting arrest, and no/unapproved helmet after a patrol saw him pull away from a parking space on Market Street and turn onto Depot Street with no helmet, Potsdam police said.

The stop occurred at 12:17 a.m. Saturday.

Kirk was given a field sobriety test, which he failed, and then refused a breath test and resisted arrest when officers took him into custody, police said.

He was taken back to the department station where a test was administered which police said indicated a blood alcohol level of .23%. The threshold for a DWI charge is .08%.

Police also issued a ticket Saturday to Lindsey C. Frazer, 17, Canton, for uninspected motor vehicle along Sandstone Drive at 8:45 a.m..
