NORWOOD — Norwood police charged a woman Sunday following an alleged domestic dispute.
Heather J. Merrill, 38, was charged with attempted third-degree assault, resisting arrest and cruelty to animals, officers said.
The alleged incident took place on Spring Street.
Merrill was arraigned and released on her own recognizance, police said.
A stay away order of protection was issued in favor of the victim.
St. Lawrence County sheriff’s, state police, Norfolk police and Potsdam Rescue all responded to the scene.
