POTSDAM — Potsdam police said they charged two people Jan. 23 following shoplifting complaints at local businesses.

• Zachary J. Starnes, 22, Norwood, was cited at 6:40 p.m. for petit larceny following a complaint from Kinney Drugs on Market Street on Jan. 18 following a theft complaint, police said.

• Chloe E. Wilson, 26, Potsdam, was cited at 11:41 p.m. for petit larceny after allegedly steaming an alcoholic beverage from Stewarts on Maple Street, officers said.

Both subjects were cited and released.
