Arrested at 7:07 PM for No/Inadequate Lights, Operating a Vehicle While Registration is Suspended or Revoked (misdemeanor) and Operating without Insurance. Defendant was found to be operating a vehicle with a defective passenger’s side headlight. Further investigation reveals that said vehicle has a suspended registration due to insurance lapse. Defendant was issued three uniform traffic tickets with a Gouverneur Town Court date.

Arrested at 6:17 PM for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd – Degree (misdemeanor). Defendant was found to be driving a blue Ford F-150 on East Main Street during an investigation of a property damage accident. Defendant was issued a uniform traffic ticket with a Gouverneur Town Court date.

Sarah L. Archer, 39, Gouverneur, NY

Charged at 6:18 PM for Unsafe Backing. Defendant was involved in a property damage accident in Stewart’s Shop parking lot. Investigation found the defendant was backing her black Jeep unsafely causing the accident. Defendant was issued a uniform traffic ticket with a Gouverneur Town Court date.

Defendant was operating the vehicle with a suspended New York State driver’s license on East Main Street and had failed to change her address with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Defendant was issued two uniform traffic tickets with a Gouverneur Town Court date.

Arrested at 2:52 PM for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation- 3rd Degree (misdemeanor) and Speed In Zone 42/30. Defendant was driving a 2006 Chevy Impala on Factory Street and was found to have a suspended New York driver’s license following a traffic stop for speeding. Defendant was traveling south on Johnstown street driving a red Hyundai Elantra with an expired inspection and a suspended New York driver’s license. Arrested at 6:25 PM for two counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument – 1st Degree (felony). Defendant did possess 2 forged $100 bills at two different locations with knowledge that it was forged and with intent to defraud. Defendant entered both Mrs. Beasley’s Liquor / Wine and A-Plus gas station and used the forged $100 bills to purchase their merchandise. The defendant further victimized the two locations by accepting authentic American currency as change. Defendant was arraigned in Gouverneur Town Court before Judge Stanley Young and was released under the supervision of probation with a return Gouverneur Town Court date.

Arrested at 11:49 PM for Driving While Intoxicated by Alcohol, Driving with a B.A.C. of .08% or more and Failure to Signal. Defendant was driving a 2016 gray Jeep Patriot on Sterling Street and failed to signal onto South Gordon Street. Defendant was then found to be intoxicated by alcohol following the traffic stop with a B.A.C. of .13%. Defendant was issued three uniform traffic tickets with a Gouverneur Town Court date.
