Arrested at 3:51 pm for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and for a Bench Warrant Issued by the Canton Town Court. Defendant was arrested on a Town of Canton bench warrant for Criminal Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Material 2nd Degree and who was placed on probation on said charge, has violated the conditions of probation issued by Judge Morgan. Upon searching the defendant, he was found to be in possession on a white powdery substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Defendant was transported to the Gouverneur Police Department for processing and provided an appearance ticket for the criminal possession charge. The defendant then turned over to a Canton Police Officer regarding the bench warrant.

Arrested at 5:50 PM for Aggravated Sex Abuse 2nd- Less Than 11 years old (C felony). Defendant was arrested stemming from an investigation of a 4 month old child that sustained a rectal injury. Defendant was arrested and arraigned at the Gouverneur Town Court. Defendant was held on 5,000 cash/ 10,000 bond and then given a third option to post 10% of the bond in cash. Arrested at 10:35 AM for Assault 2nd (D felony), Resisting Arrest and Harassment 2nd. The arrest happened after an investigation of an incident that happened on 9/23/2022 that occurred at 118 E. Main Street (McDonald’s restaurant). Defendant was being taken into custody on a separate matter when he fought with officers trying to affect the arrest. Defendant pushed and elbowed one officer in the face and struck another in the back of the head. Defendant was arraigned at the Gouverneur Town Court and remanded to the St Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $2,500 bail/$5,000 bond with a return Gouverneur Court date.
