Arrested at 6:57 pm for Strangulation 2nd and Assault 3rd following a complaint involving a domestic incident at 120 Barnes Street. The defendant and the victim got into a verbal argument that turned physical when the defendant threw the victim around the living room causing an injury to her right arm. The defendant then proceeded to strangle the victim by placing both of his hands around her neck causing the victim to have stupor. The defendant was arrested and arraigned at the Town of Gouverneur Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence county correctional facility on $10,000 cash / $20,000 bond.

Charged at 6:00 pm for Deposited Refuse/Etc. On Highway. The charge stems from a report of littering at the St. James School. Further investigation revealed that the subject did improperly dispose of garbage by throwing it on the ground from her motor vehicle. Defendant was issued uniform traffic ticket with a Gouverneur Town court date.

Arrested at 10:00 am for Unlawfully Fleeing from a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, (2 counts) Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (fentanyl / methamphetamine), Reckless Operation, (3 counts) Speed in Zone, (3 counts) Failure to Signal and Unregistered Motor Vehicle. Defendant was driving an unregistered motor vehicle on East Main Street and when patrol attempted to stop the subject the vehicle failed to comply. Defendant failed to signal and drove 45 mph to 60 mph on South Street, William Street and Parker Street. Defendant fled on foot at 110 Parker Street. Defendant was apprehended behind the residence of 110 Parker Street. Defendant was found to be in possession of two controlled substances that field tested positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl. Defendant was processed and released with appearance tickets with a Gouverneur Town Court date.
