ROSSIE – A Gouverneur man has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired with drugs.
Zachary M. Wicks, 23, was observed traveling on U.S. Highway 11 on Feb. 1 around 9:40 p.m. when state police observed he was driving with no passenger headlight, police say.
A traffic stop and interview ensued, at which time Wicks was identified and observed to be under the influence of drugs, police say.
Wicks was subsequently arrested for failing a field sobriety test before being transported to SP Gouverneur for processing.
Wicks was released on tickets for operating a motor vehicle while impaired with drugs, no headlight and unsafe tires.
All tickets are returnable to the Town of Rossie Court in March.
