POTSDAM -- An alleged domestic dispute Friday resulted in charges for a Canton man, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies.

Deputies charged Herbert M. Planty III, 40, with fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree menacing and endangering the welfare of a child.

Planty allegedly threatened the victim and damaged property that did not belong to him.

The incident took place in front of a minor, officers said.

Planty was arraigned by Judge Morgan of Canton court and released on his own recognizance, deputies said.
