To the Editor:

I urge all fair minded voters in St. Lawrence County to vote for Mary Lou Rupp on Nov. 8.

Mary Lou has the values and the experience. She was acting County Clerk in Patty Ritchie’s absence.

Without any political posturing or hype, the fact is that the county Motor Vehicle staff, under Patty Ritchie, with the able assistance of Mary Lou Rupp, made the county several million dollars in extra income from car dealers outside of the county. This of course was the result of extra planning and work by Patty Ritchie and Mary Lou Rupp.

For Mary Lou’s reward, the political appointee to the position of county clerk fired Mary Lou his first day on the job.

Let’s correct this injustice on Nov. 8 by voting Mary Lou Rupp our St. Lawrence County Clerk.
