To the Editor:
On behalf of VFW Post 1231 and its Ladies’ and Men’s Auxiliaries, we wish to thank everyone who came to the post and helped to make the Jamboree for Shammie Warren Robinson the huge success that it turned out to be.
Although the list is way too long to thank each and everyone of you who donated items and your time for this, we have to send a ‘Big Thank You’ to Commercial Press. We don’t know what we would have done without the help of Tracy, Dave and the whole crew. We gave you a big job and a short time to do it. You guys came through for us and beyond…you worked wonders with the posters and the 50/50 tickets. Thank you, all!
Thank you everyone else for your generous donations. Also everyone that was there helping setup, cooking and selling food, and selling tickets. Also thank you to all the media outlets who helped publicize the event.
Least we forget, Rockin’ Robin DJ Service – Ed McCarthy and Larry Holly, and we can’t forget Pat Warren. Great Music…thank you.
