To the Editor:

On election day I encourage you to vote for Matt Doheny for Congress. He is a successful businessman and is the type of person we need in Congress. With the national debt over 16 trillion, it is obvious the government cannot keep spending as it has been. I believe Matt will be a leader in helping to turn things around and help get the country back to a balanced budget.

Thousands of jobs have been lost in Northern New York and I believe that Matt will work to increase the number of people working and be a strong advocate for our region. He has traveled extensively through the congressional district to all 194 towns and is well aware of the challenges faced by the people and businesses in the region. Matt is endorsed by the US Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Businesses.

I believe the experience that he has had in turning around businesses will make him much better representative that our current congressman. The North Country needs change now and needs someone who will oppose excessive regulations and spending. I encourage you to vote for Matt Doheny on Nov. 6.
