Politics at work regarding Lisbon Flackville Road, says Ogdensburg man

Last Thursday I was driving from Route 37 by Lisbon Beach to Route 10, the Lisbon Flackville Road, and I found that someone on the Lisbon Town Board had used taxpayers’ money to paint double solid lines for about 4 1/2 continuous miles on the Five Mile Line Road, allowing no passing anywhere. This is ridiculous as there are many places along this route where passing can be safely done.

I’ve lived in this town for 85 years and have never seen a line on this road and we don’t need any now. The people that put them there should be given wire brushes and a pail of paint remover and made to remove them ALL.

These same people should be made to pay for the paint used for these unnecessary lines out of their own pockets, not taxpayers' funds, and they should also be made to personally pay for the removal of the lines.

The needless lines will clearly cause town residents complications which we don’t need – we already have a liberal left governor to supply us with plenty of problems (Cuomo). The lines will create a state police heaven by writing tickets to people that are already paying too much for everything.

Ron White, the comedian, always said , “You can’t fix stupid”. Apparently, he was right.
