To the editor:

Rarely do I wear my politics on my sleeve, but I feel that this election period is too critical to stand silent with my beliefs. We all know that our economy is suffering and too many people are without jobs. We need help in creating jobs, and that takes governmental leadership by proven leaders. Bill Owens has demonstrated his skills in the redevelopment of the Plattsburg Air Force base into a strong economic engine. Simply saying “NO MORE TAXES!” doesn’t do the job quickly enough. Bill recognizes that there is usually pain associated with gain, which is why he is lobbying against tax-relief for those earning more than $250,000, so that we can have tax dollars to provide stimulus monies for projects that will create jobs.

Congressman Owens supports Ft. Drum, a large economic engine, as well as an important element for our national security. He is also on the House Agriculture Committee, working hard to give our hard-working dairy farmers a fair price for their milk.

Let’s keep a proven representative working for us in Congress. Vote ‘Owens’!
