Opinion: Words are contemptible prompts for seditious acts, says Norwood woman

Having read several pro-BLM-ers posts of their white guilt noise, it is obvious they think we all should wear as a steel mantle of shame for things that have happened-past and present. Please stop! Enough is enough.

What was done to George Floyd was despicable. There was, nor is, any recourse for those men other than to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Just as there is no recourse for those who have looted, burned and otherwise destroyed communities and have begun tearing at the very fabric of our nation. They too should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

I would surmise from the numerous writers posting in your “opinion” page that they are not educated or have chosen not to see humans as the fallible creatures we all are. Casting stones and attempting to force conformity based on subjective values developed through interpretation, not experience (as they are probably Caucasian) looking for 15 seconds of “fame” or chest-pounding for their self-proclaimed piety. They are the problem. They keep feeding into a narrative that is setting us back to the attitudes of past generations.

By ignoring the path and wisdom of all those who have gone before. They are disavowing the growth and change made through non-violent action.

Why martyr a career criminal? Do you not critically think about someone who habitually breaks the law as being a criminal? Floyd was not a protestor, he was not an advocate acting in a manner that could be considered positive for the larger community and especially not the “POC” (racially discriminating term) community. He was not a “community organizer” such as the unmatched unifier Obama (sarcasm). Floyd was not a vigilante, nor was he an ally as he showed no allegiance to any race or creed, but truly displayed the worst in a human being.

Consider all life both precious and precarious, and act accordingly with regard for all.

So I say shame on you! Again, you are the problem and your words are contemptible prompts for seditious acts against this country and its people. You have publicly displayed your tokens of realized inner demons. They are yours to deal with, not thrust upon others as labels conjured from your self-flagellation.
