To the Editor:
What sort of future are you hoping for? What kind of world do you want your children to grow up in?
Do you wish that the US could have avoided what is now well over 8 million Covid-19 cases and related deaths and unemployment?
There are more effective ways to battle this. Look at Australia, New Zealand and even Canada for examples that it didn’t have to be this way here.
Do you hope that our government will stop denying the reality of the climate crisis and address the devastating droughts, fires, hurricanes, heatwaves and other extreme weather that hurt our health and economy?
Do you hope that you and your children will have medical insurance and that pre-existing conditions will be covered?
Do you wish for a more fair, more just world? One where we are all equally safe regardless of our skin color? One where there really is equal opportunity? One where no one is above the law and the rich actually pay their taxes?
Do you wish that your president and your representative in Congress told the truth and actually represented you?
Donald Trump and his staunch supporter Representative Elise Stefanik have proven over and over to me that the future they would deliver is not the future I want! Check out their record, not just what they say but what they do. Then have a look at Joe Biden and Tedra Cobb. Actions speak louder than words. Take action. Vote for the world you want!
