Spring?

The groundhog groaned as he came out of his lair.

Looking around there was snow everywhere.

When queried about Spring by a guy from TV

He said, “Just look around while I go for a wee.

It’s been a long time since I went to the loo

So get to your green wall and do what you do.”

As he crouched there and pondered while scratching his head,

All he could think of was going to bed.

So he called to the TV guys and they gathered around

They got really close so as to not miss a sound.

They could tell that he was in a very bad mood,

As he grumbled and glared at the TV brood.

“Six more weeks of winter is all I can say,

Now pack up your stuff and just go away.”

“But what of your shadow?” asked only one.

He replied, “If it’s shadows you want, go talk to the sun.”
