To the Editor:

Potsdam Humane Society would like to extend our appreciation to all the walkers, vendors, service providers, and volunteers who participated in our 14th annual Strut Your Mutt Dog Walk and Craft Fair. Your efforts, donations, and Mother Nature's lovely weather made it a successful and enjoyable event.

I would like to thank Price Chopper, Jernabi Coffeehouse, Kong Company, White's Flowers, St. Larry's, Pizza Hut, KFC, Tractor Supply Company, and City Dawgz for helping to supply door prizes for walkers.

Further thanks go to Bicknell's Building Supply, Potsdam Agway, Lavigne's IGA, and Save-a-Lot for donations of supplies and to North Country Savings Bank and T & R Wines and Liquors for help with monetary donations. Thanks to Great Northern Printing, Stacked Graphics, and 4AllPromos for doing a great job with our PHS logo clothing, banners, and dog bandanas.

We are grateful to Potsdam & Clarkson Garden Club, St. Lawrence Valley Dog Club, K & M French Face Painting, City Dawgz, B99.3, and St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Safe Child Program for providing services and entertainment for Strut and Craft Fair attendees. And a great big thank you to over 60 donors who helped make our Basket Raffle even more successful this year.

Thank you to the employees, Board members, volunteers, and Trey Smutz, Recreation Director for the Village of Potsdam, who helped with set up, clean up, and out on the trail. The day's activities raised nearly $5,000 to support the care of the nearly 1,000 animals that receive PHS services each year. We could not have done it without you.
