In response to “Opinion: Ogdensburg Mayor Skelly says property tax as revenue source not sustainable; city should be retail destination” which appeared online July 10: Seems when Ogdensburg was a manufacturing city with Acco mfg, Shade roller mfg, Diamond National mfg, Newell mfg, and other small crafters we were in much better shape.
I have seen other towns lose their manufacturing and just dry up and blow away similar to Port Lyden.
I wonder if somehow we could entice some form of manufacturing or large service base to come to or city on the St. Lawrence County.
