To my fellow North Country citizens and those who still believe we can make a difference in this nation,

I know that as we look around and see what our lives are like now compared to what it used to be, the task of making things better seems almost insurmountable. It is not! Not as long as we have people like Susan Duffy with a heart to make a difference.

In today’s atmosphere in the political world, selfish ambition, the love of money and all that comes with that for those that live in their ivory towers, you would think, what can we do? Well, we are still one nation under God and we can pray and vote. As long as we have people that are willing to put their lives on the front line and put themselves out there to work hard to make a difference for us in the North Country, we still have hope! Our job is to vote, to care, and to stop saying we cannot, because we can. We still live in the United States of America, the greatest nation on the earth and we are blessed to be here.

Sue Duffy knows this and has never stepped back when things get tough. She is one of us and that is what we do. She knows what it is like to work hard, have a little, and have to make a dollar stretch. She has never been given a free ride and yet has had the courage, strength, and knowledge to know what is right and work to see it accomplished. She knows how to get the job done.

She has never been afraid to stand for what is right and to fight for it! She has never forgotten her roots, has stayed here, built a company, put people to work, and helped many more to live a better life. We should be grateful for someone like her who still believes in this country.

She is a mother and grandmother who still loves those babies in their mother’s wombs, who still believes five dollars is too much to pay for gas, and that people should not have to choose between food and medicine. She also knows there is a legal way to come into this country. Sue believes that the best way to live is to love God, your family, your neighbor, and work hard for what we want. We love this country and want to keep the covenant our forefathers made to God and between each other that is included in our constitution.

Do not give up! If we stand with people such as Sue Duffy we can still make this nation great again. Keeping our freedoms so our children and grandchildren can continue saying the Pledge of Allegiance and pray in school, and not being afraid of what our children are being taught is important.

We will be able to go to the gas pump, buy food and medicine, and take care of our babies without feeling the stress of not having enough. Come on Americans, we can do this! We cannot let this nation go down on our watch. Our children and grandchildren are depending on us. Let’s leave them a legacy. We can! We have the easy part.

Let’s thank people like Susan Duffy and stand with her. She will fight for you and the North Country, as she is one of us and loves this nation. If you are like us and get a lump in your throat, a pain in your heart, and a tear in your eye when you sing God bless America, it’s time to stand; stand for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

These are not just words; they are our life, our dreams, and our hopes. We are here for such a time as this, what will we do?

Work with Susan Duffy; give her your trust, your voice, and your vote. We don’t believe she will let us down. We are in this together. Send her to Albany to help make a difference.

God bless you and God bless America.
