To the Editor:

In response to Opinion: Those Who Fail to See Election Fraud Are Ignorant, says Knapps Station resident: I’m a dope who voted for Biden (according to the author of the letter referenced.

I could choose to believe radio/TV shock jock entertainers or Pulitzer Prize professional journalists. I could choose mainstream media who are doing their job of questioning wrongdoing, as they’ve done for every president, and fact checking Trump’s 22,000 lies. Or I could believe extremist websites and militia hate groups endorsed by a president whose ego cannot accept being a loser.

I could choose to believe that Republicans have genuine evidence that can close the 7M person voter gap; despite courts finding no evidence and wasting taxpayers’ money and time. Or I could question the motives of these same politicians, like Stefanik, who didn’t insist that the President be put on the stand under oath during the impeachment or that all witnesses be heard. As the writer of the 12/30 letter said, “Only a fool wouldn’t want all allegations investigated”.

I could choose Democrats who fight for minimum wage, safe working conditions and recognize how the wealthy use money to garner power. Or I could believe that a Hollywood celebrity hanging out with his rich Republican friends at Mar-A-Lago (charging a $200,000 initiation fee and $14,000 annual dues to keep out the riff raff) really understands and cares about the “little people”.

I could ignore the biographer, chosen by Trump himself, who knows first-hand that the man lives his life by being cut-throat; stopping at nothing to get what he wants no matter what laws he breaks or who he hurts. Or I could examine Biden’s many years in politics where the only dirt Trump can dredge up is innuendo about his son’s nepotism, while Trump’s children are all collecting our taxpayer money.

You know? I’m really not feeling like a dope right now.
