To the Editor:
Having marched in several Memorial Day parades as a Boy Scout, a member of a junior drum corps, a senior drum corps, a US Air Force Drum Corps as well as standing on the sidelines watching our Flag go by, I found immense pride in my country and its veterans.
With sadness I see the village of Potsdam will have “No Memorial Day parade in Potsdam due to lack of interest,” as published in the NCNow News. While many have time to find fault with politics, schools, gender choices, skin colors, choices of religion, toilets on display, medical care, etc., there appears to be no time available for the men and women who served, and sometimes died, so you are free to find fault.
I am disappointed with the village of Potsdam.
