A “thank you” to all the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Canton-Potsdam Hospital!

I spent the month of January and part of February in the hospital with Covid, part way through my stay I blew a hole in my lung, and if it had not been for the doctors and the surgeon on hand I would not be here today; my life was spared probably more than once, due to the quality care I received while in the hospital.

The doctors were wonderful, they kept my family well informed of what was going on, the nurses were excellent. People talk about the quality of care in this North Country, I think Canton-Potsdam Hospital shows we do have some “High-Quality Care” in this area.

The nurses I got to know were excellent, they work long hours, and as I understand a lot of them volunteered for the Covid Unit. I hope our community realizes this, and recognizes their outstanding care to volunteer for something like that, is a very “very brave” thing to do.

I’ve been home since mid-February and on oxygen until April, but I’ve come a long way and am 95% healthy, now I have one more appointment with my pulmonologist to make sure everything is OK.

A lot of you are like “Angels” to me. Thank you!
