Ms. Hodges closing remark in her recent letter states "...We could all move beyond this Trump obsession." I hearty agree! The Democrats and news media sorely miss having Trump in office as their daily political piñata to swat at. Like a dog gnawing old bones, still they obsess over him, while ignoring Biden's incoherent speeches.

P.T. Barnum once said: 'There's no such thing as bad publicity'. Bringing up Trump only serves as free political advertising on his behalf, and emboldens his supporters. If one really wants to hurt Trump politically, ignore him.

Let's ask Biden questions instead. Why did he hastily withdraw from Afghanistan, leaving billions in US military weapons to the Taliban, and abandoned our Afghan allies to a terrible fate? Why our borders are not secured, allowing tens of thousands of un-vaccinated illegal immigrants into our country? Why we do pay more at the pump and grocery store due to increasing inflation under his watch? Why does he push so hard to remove the filibuster from Senate, the same filibuster his fellow Democrats supported so ardently years ago?

Why did Biden failed to deliver on his promise to provide enough rapid COVID testing kits? Why is he bent on circumventing states’ rights protected in the Constitution by demanding a federal law to proscribe voting? Funny how Democrats dismissed voting abuse claims during the Presidential election, but are now set to safeguard it. Why do they seek to fix something they claimed wasn't broke, and won Biden the election?

Let's also focus on Pelosi on her shared responsibility as Speaker of the House, to ask why she failed to call in the Capitol Police to protect the White House when warned hours earlier of a massive protest to occur on January 6th? That is dereliction of duty, and should be addressed. But a curtain of silence has been drawn over her. Why? It makes one almost believe Ms. Pelosi wanted it to happen!

We've disagreed on many issues in the past, Ms. Hodges, but I'm with you on this one, 100%. Let's certainly stop talking about Trump, and pay sole attention to the Democrats in office, and judge their performance, not Trump’s.
