Visit Vote 411

for primary elections

To the Editor:

On June 28 New Yorkers will head to the polls to vote for their party’s candidate for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and in St. Lawrence County there will be a Republican Primary for the Assembly 116th district too.

Other primaries in SLC will include Conservative Party Primaries for Surrogate Court Judge and Potsdam Town Justice, Republican Primaries for the 7th and 12th County Legislature Districts, and for Councilman in both Edwards and Lawrence.

Voters will have the opportunity to vote for their party’s candidate for State Senate and Congress on August 23.

With the 2022 primaries being split over two dates, it is more important than ever that voters have access to accurate, unbiased information about who and what will be on their ballot. The St. Lawrence County League of Women Voters directs interested voters to visit www.Vote411.org .

Vote411.org is a one-stop shop that serves millions of voters every election, providing objective, nonpartisan information to the public. On Vote 411, New Yorkers can register to vote, check their registration, see what's on their ballot, and see where state level candidates stand on the issues that matter in our community.

Early Voting will be going on June 18-26. Visit the SLC Board of Elections website to check voting hours. There are two early voting locations this year: 42 Maple Street, Potsdam (the Clarkson Building, former Honda Dealership), and the Dobisky Center in Ogdensburg, 100 Riverside Dr. Election Day voting hours at your regular polling site will be 6:00AM to 9:00 PM.

The League reminds you to Vote! It Counts!
