History is a part of what forms a country and shapes what it values and stands for today. America has a history composed of triumphs and challenges that have shaped our beautiful, free, democratic country. America is a place where all people have the freedom to dream and accomplish what his/her heart desires.

It is disgraceful that a handful of people are attempting to erase the history that has made our country great. The majority of people agree that the suppression of groups of people based on race, gender, religion, and for other reasons is completely immoral and should have never happened.

But the fact is, it did. Instead of violently erasing and abolishing historical figures, we need to learn from the past and celebrate the lessons it has taught us. Our country’s history is what has made our country the greatest country in the world to live.

It is a place where you have the freedom to choose and are protected by the rights of the Constitution. History is taught in school for many reasons.

One of those reasons is that it helps to shape the identity of a nation and gives its people a sense of where our country has been, so that it can progress in a productive, positive direction. Another reason is to never repeat the negative events that happened in the past. It is also taught to celebrate the people and the movements that have progressed our country in a positive way.

The destruction and divisiveness that is currently happening in our country is an absolute disgrace. Whether you identify yourself as democrat or republican, we need to stand together as Americans that celebrate the freedoms our democratic country offers all Americans.

The attempt by radicals, looters and criminals to erase our history by attacking, culture canceling and demonizing individuals and groups of people needs to stop. We need to continue to have a nation that is founded on law and order. A nation that celebrates the beauty of the promise of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that the United States of America has to offer.

I support law enforcement officers and our president of the United States. Unity is a recurring theme throughout history that has progressed our country in the right direction. We need to unite as Americans and support each other.
