To the Editor:
Just a short note of thanks to let you know our website and your article in the paper got the Goldenaires to our goal. I just got word that we did collect over $2000 from donations for our non-singing Valentine Fundraiser this year.
No “singing valentines” were delivered, but the people of St.Lawrence County came through. I have sent applications out to all St. Lawrence County schools to distribute information and forms for the available cash awards.
We are also extending our due date to mid April due COVID-19.
Our group still has not sung in over a year, but a small group of us do get together to check in and to check out our voices.
We hope that after the vaccines that we we will be able to perform for the public and raise money for groups/individuals in need.
