To the Editor:
We held our inaugural Civil War weekend at Fort Tribute July 24-25. I would like to thank Ron Sheppard, President of the Board of Trustees, Roger Austin, Secretary of the Board, as well as all of the volunteers of the St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum for their support. We also want to acknowledge the support of Timothy Cryderman, President of the St. Lawrence County Historical Association Board of Trustees, Tracy Robertson, Events Coordinator and their volunteers for all of the support they gave to this weekend. This joint partnership enabled this weekend to be a huge success.
Many thanks to the sponsors including: SeaComm, Commercial Press, Pat Collins Realty, McFadden-Dier Leonard Insurance, Anson Burke AllState Insurance Agency, Frenchie’s Chevrolet & Ford, Massena Transport, Niles Asset Management, Parkway Auto Group & Express, Rosarios Pizza, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, Scott & Doreen Wilson and Stewart’s Shops.
Special thanks to the reenactors, who come from near and as far as Michigan to share their knowledge of this time period. Without all of those folks none of this would have been possible.
