As a member of the Canton Fire Department, I want express my sincerest gratitude toward the North Country Now and North Country This Week team involved in making our 150th anniversary celebration a great success!
I enjoyed reading the overwhelming support from local businesses and viewing the old time photos in the Sept. 11-17 newspaper edition. You gave our department the hometown paper feel! Something that I thought was going to be lost when the St. Lawrence Plaindealer was shut down a few short months ago.
North Country Now and NCTW went above and beyond my expectations and really helped our event become recognizable despite all the activity this past weekend.
Your efforts not only met a lot to the Canton Fire Department but the entire Canton Community.
This excellent coverage was direct representation of our motto "Neighbors helping Neighbors." I simply cannot thank you enough for commemorating this milestone.
