Opinion: Duffy will work hard for the people of the North Country, says Ogdensburg woman

To the Editor:

I wholeheartedly support Susan Duffy for the NYS Assembly, 116th District.

I first met Susan when I was the Treasurer of the Ogdensburg Snackpack Program. At that time, Susan owned the Really Old & Nearly New shop on Ford Street in Ogdensburg.

When I went in to set up an account for our program, I explained to Susan what the program was about (providing healthy weekend snacks to children in need at our two elementary schools) and she enthusiastically told me that she thought the program was wonderful and that she wanted to be involved.

She became a board member, was the one who selected and purchased our Snackpack logo, always helped with fundraisers, covered all of our printing supplies and mailing costs and has generously allowed us to use her Queenaire Technologies building to store and pack our food supplies.

I saw first-hand what a compassionate and generous person she is and enjoyed all the times we worked together. She has a great sense of humor!

I know that she will work hard for the people of the North Country as our representative. Her insight and passion to see prosperity for our area will be her goal!

Please support Susan Duffy for Assemblywomen. You won't be disappointed.
