To the Editor:
I'm writing in regards Susan Duffy, a Republican candidate running for the 116th district assembly seat. Ms. Duffy recently gave an interview in regards to bail reform in the state.
This was posted to the Susan Duffy for Assembly Facebook page. I had replied in disagreement of the post and also pointed out some inconsistencies that were present. This was a day or two ago. I read the recent opinion about Ms. Duffy blocking someone from the page. Out of curiosity, I checked to see if my comments were still there. Too much chagrin I, too, was blocked from the page.
I have since emailed Ms. Duffy in regards to such and I'm awaiting a response. This is quite concerning behavior of a candidate running for public office. If this isn't censorship I'm not quite sure what is? Based on what I read in the interview, a fair assumption may be that censorship is something that we will hear about and have heard about in similar campaigns.
Seems to be hypocrisy.
