To the Editor:
The Canton-Potsdam Hospital Guild would like to thank the Canton Community and surrounding townships for their support of the Guild's recent garden tour held on June 18.
We couldn't have done it without the help of the following gardeners for opening their beautiful properties: Syrah Gilley, Sue Hayden, Tim and Caroline Gavin, James Reese, Mary and Jack Lawrence, Rajiv Narula, Lois FitzRandolph, and Sally Kirby.
The eight private gardens were a superb variety of flower and vegetable gardens, fruit trees and landscaping. Thanks for sharing your passion for gardening, your knowledge and creativity with the community.
In addition, we would like to extend our thanks to Dr. Sara Ashpole, SLU Sustainability Department, for her afternoon presentation on Permaculture Gardening.
The garden tour was a fundraiser for the Canton-Potsdam Hospital and nursing scholarships for SUNY Canton students.
