Monday morning our adolescent Yorkie dog “Lucey” bolted from the garden fence onto County Route 35 and ran down the middle to where it connects with the Leary Road.
Cars from 3 directions stopped, great neighbors got out of their cars and we eventually cornered Lucey underneath a minivan.
Only one car wove its way through this “community intervention” but did so delicately. My wife Cathy and I just want to give our proudest thanks to everyone who got our adolescent-on-the-run out of harm’s way.
This is why we love living here.
