To the Editor:
Why should we elect Tedra Cobb and send her to Washington DC as our representative? The most compelling reason to vote for Tedra is because she will work vigorously to ensure that no North Country families are financially ruined because they do not have sufficient health insurance.
Tedra will make sure we can all get affordable health insurance. She will vote to ensure that pre-existing conditions are not a basis for insurance companies to deny us insurance.
Stefanik, by contrast, has voted repeatedly to take away protections for those with pre-existing conditions.
Tedra knows we are living in a once-in-a-century pandemic and will vote to enact laws to protect us.
Elise Stefanik, by contrast, has not spoken out strongly to protect the public by advising citizens to wear masks and she eagerly went to a super-spreader political rally.
This sent an overwhelming message to the public that we need not take the coronavirus seriously.
It is time for the middle class and the working class and the many unemployed to unite and support Tedra.
She will vote in our interest not in the interest of the rich and not in her own self-interest.
