Opinion: Clerk candidate will work tirelessly, make innovations where needed, Canton resident says

I have never publicly endorsed a candidate before but am compelled to do so for this candidate. Sandy Santamoor is running for St. Lawrence County Clerk. I have known Sandy for more than 20 years. I knew her parents and siblings when Sandy was still in grammar and high school. She has been a co-worker. She is honest, efficient, caring.

Sandy is a North Country native who grew up here, went to school here, married, started a family and then left the area because husband got a job elsewhere. All the time they were gone, they kept wanting to return home to the North Country. Why? She knew and knows what a wonderful place this is: great people, natural beauty, feeling of community.

Sandy has always been active in the community making many contributions. She is one of the most honest, forthright women I have ever known. She is a person who speaks up if something is amiss as well as follows her intellect and instincts to improve things where they can be improved.

She's a good person to her core and is innately aware of the needs of others. She will work tirelessly to do the best job anyone could possibly do as county cerk. She will make innovations where they are needed.

She will give great service to her community and to the clerk's office where she is already deputy clerk.

I sincerely urge you to vote for Sandy Santamoor!
