To the Editor:
I am writing to ask Canton voters to support John Taillon for Canton Town Council and give him your vote on election day. I have known John personally for well over 50 years and certainly in his adult years witnessed him being a caring and active part of the Canton community.
I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with him many times while he served as Canton Parks and Rec Director while our sons were growing and using Canton Rec activities. I’ve always been impressed with his dedication to his job and the residents of Canton.
John has experience working with town and village government, which will serve him well. I firmly believe he will listen and even seek out the opinion and concerns of residents of our town and work to address issues. I believe he has the ability to interact with board members in a respectful manner and work on the business of the town board regardless of which party other members belong to.
He has volunteered in many capacities in his lifetime and values putting in time and effort to assist others. He is willing and able to put in the time and effort to serve on our town board! A word I keep seeing when describing John is Integrity. I couldn’t agree more that he does everything in life with integrity and will continue to do so no matter what tasks he takes on in life.
