To the Editor:
Growing up in Canton, I have had the pleasure and honor of working with John Taillon, mainly through his previous role as the Canton Recreation Director for 30-plus years. I worked with John extensively to coordinate construction of the Picnic Pavilion at Taylor Park. Quickly I learned how dedicated John was to his role as Recreation Director and the Canton community at large. He was always available when needed to answer questions and offer guidance throughout the community project.
Since John’s retirement, his community involvement with Canton has not slowed. Having the opportunity to serve with John on the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Canton, I have always known him to be in tune with crucial matters at hand and able to make informed decisions with Canton’s best interest at heart.
I fully support John Taillon in the 2021 Election for Canton Town Council. I have great confidence that he is well suited for the elected position, as our recreation department looks for guidance and smart decisions to be made to enhance the future of our community.
