To the Editor:

We held our second annual Civil War weekend at Fort Tribute July 30-31. I would like to thank Ron Sheppard, President of the Board of Trustees, Roger Austin, Secretary of the Board, as well as all of the volunteers of the St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum for their support.

We also want to acknowledge the support of Timothy Cryderman, President of the St. Lawrence County Historical Association Board of Trustees, Robert Clarke, Executive Director of SLCHA, Tracy Robertson, Events Coordinator and their volunteers for all of the support they gave to this weekend. This joint partnership enabled this weekend to be a huge success.

Many thanks to the sponsors including: SeaComm, Edward C. Seymour VFW Post 1231, Anson Burke AllState Insurance Agency, Niles Asset Management, Massena Transport, Parkway Auto Group & Express, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union and Scott & Doreen Wilson.

Special thanks to the reenactors, who come from near and as far as Canada to share their knowledge of this time period. Without all of those living historians none of this would have been possible.

Federal : 1st NY Light Artillery Reynolds Battery L, 11th New York Light Artillery, 1st NY Cavalry, 12 US Infantry, 118th New York Volunteer Infantry, 140th New York Volunteer Infantry, 148th New York Volunteer Infantry, 117th New York Volunteers Field Hospital

Confederate: 15th Alabama Volunteer Infantry Co. E, 61 St. Georgia Volunteer Infantry Co. A, 55th Virginia Volunteer Infantry Co. A, 2nd Mississippi Infantry, 24th Georgia Infantry, Alexander’s Battery, Middlesex Battery, Ashland Artillery, and 55th Virginia Volunteers Field Hospital

To our presentation speakers Laini Amaritnant, Dave Henderson, Dave Evans, Linda Russell for providing period music throughout the weekend, Dallas Robinson, who narrated the battles, as well Dennis Barr of Two Guys and a Camera for providing the sound system, video and photos. And, to the hundreds of visitors who attended the weekend – thank you!
