To the Editor:
Massena Public Library Director Elaine Dunne will be retiring at the end of June. The Board of Trustees and the Friends of the Massena Library want to acknowledge her 12 years as Youth Services Librarian and 11 years as Director. Elaine encouraged youth literacy, organized community reading programs for adults, partnered with other organizations to promote art and music, and upgraded the library’s technology and facilities. Elaine’s dedication to education and cultural enrichment for people of all ages will be greatly missed.
Join us on June 7 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Massena Public Library as we recognize Elaine’s service to the library and the community. Light refreshments will be served. Please stop in to wish Elaine well as she begins a new chapter in her life.
