To the Editor:
Due to COVID-19, I lost my job and filed for unemployment. After getting my claim filed, I then attempted to get though to a live person to complete my claim. I spent countless days and hours calling, only to get a busy signal which was very frustrating and un my opinion so completely unnecessary.
A friend suggested I contact Mark Walczyk’s office to see if they could lend some assistance. The staff worked with, especially Meredith, was attentive, supportive and concerned. It took a few days, but I was finally contacted by a live person and was able to complete my claim.
I truly believe without the assistance from Assemblyman Walczyk’s office, my claim would never have been certified.
I received several follow-up phone calls from the office to inquire about my claim and just to see if all was well. I truly appreciated the care and concern during this very difficult time.
Several of my co-workers had similar issues with the Department of Labor, and I shared my experience with Assemblyman Walczyk’s office. They as well received a prompt response and assistance and were able to certify their claims as well.
I will be voting for Mark Walczyk on Election Day. I hope you do as well.
