HANNAWA FALLS -- Helping Hands, St Lawrence Radiology and Chip's Place of Hannawa Falls are teaming up to help those struggling to feed their families during the coronavirus pandemic.
Helping Hands will be giving out meat donated by St. Lawrence Radiology and processed by Chip's Place of Hannawa Falls on Saturday, May 23 from 9 am to noon.
The Helping Hands Food Pantry serves Hannawa Falls, Potsdam, Parishville, Colton, Pierrepont, Madrid, Stockholm, Hopkinton, Brasher, Nicholville, Norwood and Norfolk.
The distribution will be drive-through, with Helping Hands volunteers wearing masks, and placing food boxes in vehicles.
Bring name and proof of address to present when picking up food.
“Many families have been overwhelmed with kids home from school and not being able to take advantage of school lunch programs. Helping Hands is here to help you feed your kids,” said Helping Hands Executive Director Tom Chappell.
The Helping Hands Board of Directors decided that The Helping Hands Cindy Talcott Memorial Golf Tournament will be held as planned on Saturday, July 18.
“We will follow the New York State and CDC regulations and are praying for great weather as we look forward to fun, fellowship and friendly competition,” Chappell said.
