Marie Regan and Harold Demick make the best case yet for whey the village of Potsdam should vote yes on dissolution (Courier-Observer 9/20).
The town needs to sell village services in order to lure East Front Development Inc. to the edge of the village.
Yet the developer remains very clear that they want to avoid paying village taxes.
If we are all to be in this together, why aren’t town officials supporting dissolution? Why not eliminate village taxes and work together?
Could it be just another case of I want it and you should pay for it?
Don’t try to give something away that you don’t own and be very careful of those who suggest that you break the law.
