Dead birds in Massena worth worrying about?

To the Editor:

It's occurred to me that over the past few years there has been these reports of massive amounts of birds suddenly dying in certain areas.

As for those birds that are claimed to have the West Nile Virus, this issue really has the basic concern of how this virus is getting into the birds systems. The concern is in the bio-industry and the use of certain viruses to genetically alter various organisms.

Personally I have been bird watching for many years and I have never seen a mosquito bite a bird in my entire life. There has been a substantial amount of research into the deaths of cattle, pigs and test animals when eating GMO crops. Could there be a link to these massive sudden deaths and GMO crops that are being planted in the near by areas?
