Bertram, Demick, Young will keep Hammond moving forward

To the Editor:

I am writing this letter to the voters of Hammond to ask that they please come out on November 8 and vote for the Good Government candidates. I have seen each one of these candidates speak up at town board meetings to share their vision for the future.

They each exercise common sense and good judgment for the townspeople. Ron Bertram has done an excellent job at giving people a clear look at the running of our town and has made efforts at educating both himself and the public. Howard Demick has given a lot to this town, both in terms of civil service as a town justice and in terms of contributions to youth groups and local organizations, including the summer Youth Softball program.

Merritt Young proved himself to be dedicated to looking deep for answers to important questions as a member of the wind committee and he is not afraid to ask hard questions of our elected officials. He is ready and excited to serve on the Town Council. I think that this town would do well by having some fresh faces on the town board to come up with some fresh ideas about how we are going to survive and prosper in the years ahead.

This is our chance to make a difference. We have to care enough to make a difference and use our voting privilege to do so. Please vote on November 8th for BERTRAM – DEMICK – YOUNG to keep Hammond moving forward.
