This year, two employees received Chancellor's Awards, while another 12 were honored with President's Awards. The Chancellor's Awards for Excellence are SUNY-level honors, conferred to acknowledge and provide system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement and to encourage the ongoing pursuit of excellence. The President's Awards are open to faculty and staff at SUNY Potsdam, including PACES Dining Services, the Child Care Center and campus Research Foundation employees.

This year's Chancellor's Award recipients were as follows:

To the trustees of the Potsdam College Foundation Board of Trustees, as well as to many other alumni and colleagues, Rhea Noseworthy (Hon. '21) is an integral member of the SUNY Potsdam family. In her role as administrative assistant to the vice president for college advancement and executive director for the Potsdam College Foundation, Noseworthy serves as a point person for many tasks related to the work of the Foundation Board and frequently advances system improvements to help the Board operate more efficiently. Each year, she expertly coordinates two Foundation Board Weekends and manages the recurring meeting schedules for eight Board committees, comprised of more than 40 individuals. Her facilitation of these meetings encountered new challenges in 2020 and 2021, as all meetings were hosted virtually; yet she approached all technological hurdles with patience and attentiveness. Noseworthy's colleagues in the Division of College Advancement revere her as a dependable and respected member of the team. Whether helping someone charge an invoice or ensuring the reliability of the department vehicle, she enables the division to complete its work effectively. Noseworthy not only supports the fundraising efforts of College Advancement through her work; she herself is also a loyal donor to the Pay It Forward Scholarship Program and College's Greatest Needs Fund, making a SUNY Potsdam education possible for more deserving students.

Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service:

In all of the positions she has held at SUNY Potsdam, Julie Dold '03 has continually served her alma mater with dedication and distinction. After graduating from the College in 2003 and completing her master's degree at the University at Albany, Dold returned to campus-first as an admissions counselor, before joining the Division of Campus Life, where she served first as the assistant director and later the associate director. In her time in Campus Life, she created the annual Student Leadership Conference and organized successful events, such as Family Weekend and Relay for Life. She also led the revitalization of the new member programs for Greek Life, coordinated voter registration drives and served on the Bicentennial Committee. In 2017, Dold was named the Director of Residence Life, where she has demonstrated a sustained focus on student retention, safety and success. She led efforts to ensure that students were well informed on the financial impacts of course registration and housing decisions, leading to her being honored with the Student Recruitment and Retention Innovation Award. She was also a key member of the Emergency Response Resource Group, making key decisions in the face of the pandemic to protect the health and well-being of the campus community. On top of her other duties, Dold recently co-chaired the College's reaccreditation process through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, helping to lead a collaborative and comprehensive self-study. In all of her roles, she has shown a continual desire to learn and grow, and help others to do the same-first helping to bring the StrengthsQuest training to campus, and completing programs to become both a Green Dot certified trainer and a trained facilitator through the National Coalition Building Institute's Prejudice Reduction Workshop.
