CANTON -- The Class of 2026 are leaders in and out of the classroom. They're artists and performers, entrepreneurs, athletes, and advocates. Even before they matriculated on Aug. 21, they set the bar high for future Laurentians. They came to St. Lawrence with a cumulative four-year GPA of 92.3-a record for an incoming class.
St. Lawrence County students include:
Brasher Falls: LeahBeth Guerard.
Canton: Peter Coakley, Chris Downs Jr., Elizabeth Finnerty, Caroline Hines, Nick Lyndaker, Mattigan Porter, Camryn Sipher, and Jennah Thompson.
Colton: Maura Richards.
Gouverneur: Sean Farrand, Cole Siebels and Connor Wood.
Hannawa Falls: Kennedy Wilson.
Hogansburg: Lauren Lazare.
Madrid: Lily LaMere.
Massena: Grayson Chapman, Sabella Cromie and Brandon Pelletier.
Norfolk: Joshua King.
Potsdam: Catherine Barstow, Landree Chamberlain, Ariana Chiarenzelli, Brianna Grant, Amara McGowan, Carys Murray, and Adarra Smith.
Ogdensburg: Matthew Goolden
Winthrop: Elizabeth Hoyt.
Thirty-eight percent of students ranked in the top 10 percent of their respective graduating high school classes, and 70 percent were in the top quarter.
