NORWOOD -- Kelsy Waite, an allied health student from Brasher Falls School District, is the Potsdam Rotary Club BOCES student of the month for April.
As a student in the Allied Health Program, she has been able to take advantage of the dual enrollment program allowing her to receive college credit for human biology, medical terminology and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. She plans on going to Plattsburgh State in the fall, majoring in sports medicine.
“Kelsy is an intelligent student with a strong work ethic. She has clear future goals and is driven to do her best. She is a joy to have in the classroom, works well independently and with other students. In my professional opinion, she is an exceptional young lady with a successful future,” Allied Health instructor Leanne Saxby said in a news release from Potsdam Rotary.
The Rotary’s BOCES program students on the month for April include:

• Ashley Razis of Brasher, cosmetology
• Alexia Huto of Massena, criminal justice
• Breanna Baker of Massena, health careers
• Cameron VanBrocklin of Colton, HVAC/R
• Acacia Richards of Brasher, natural resource management
